About ‘Field Notes’

Field Notes are where the Flourish55+ team begins looking into questions, ideas, experiences, products, services, and patterns that may matter for life after 55.They are not finished articles. They are not product reviews written to sell. They are not advice. They are early explorations.

  • Some Field Notes may begin with a question we are curious about. Others may begin with something we are considering trying, researching, testing, reading, or asking people about. The point is not to pretend we already know the answer. The point is to show the process.

  • Some Field Notes may eventually become longer articles. Some may shape future newsletters. Some may lead nowhere. Some may eventually inform carefully considered recommendations if we believe something is genuinely useful for readers.

When that happens, the standard will remain the same: we will move slowly, say what we actually think, and avoid pretending to know more than we do.

  • Over time, we may invite readers to share questions or topics they would like the Flourish55+ team to look into. Reader curiosity can help us understand what feels confusing, what deserves more attention, and where careful perspective may be useful.

Field Notes exist because living well after 55 is not only a set of settled answers. It is an ongoing process of paying attention, testing assumptions, and asking better questions.
